Improve Your SOAR Experience
Experiencing Virtual SOAR is going to be exciting and informative. Here are some tips for making the most of the technology.
Virtual SOAR will be delivered through the internet using some of the tools and technology that we use on campus at UNCG. Your day will be a combination of YouTube videos, Zoom meetings, and Canvas our learning management system on campus. We will provide all of links and addresses that you will need easily connect to the right material.
Because this is delivered via the internet and some of the content requires a larger amount of bandwidth, it would be best to think about where you want to connect. Make sure that it is a quiet place where you can take notes if desired and you'll have the best internet connection possible.
We recommend that you use your desktop or laptop for Virtual SOAR because you will benefit from the larger screen size. If you have to use your phone for Virtual SOAR you should download the Canvas and Zoom apps prior to your SOAR date. While you're downloading from your app store you should also download UNCG Mobile and visit the New Student persona for some great features and connections.
