Three From Women’s Golf Earn CSC Academic All-District® Honors
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf senior Ava Romfo as well as sophomores Elle Burnette and Kasey McIlvaine were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have competed in 70% of their team's total varsity events that included team scores.
UNCG finished fifth or better in nine of its 12 total events this season. The Spartans won their first tournament since the 2011-12 season after placing first in the Puerto Rico Shootout in Humacao, Puerto Rico, on March 6.
The Spartans also earned a runner-up finish hosting the UNCG Collegiate from Oct. 21-22, which saw Romfo win the individual title.
From The Southern Conference (SoCon), 31 student-athletes appeared on the women's team, including six from Furman, six from Mercer, six from VMI, six from Wofford, two from Western Carolina and two from Chattanooga.

- Lowest round score was a five-under-par (67) in the second round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawleys Island, South Carolina
- WGCA All-American Scholar in 2023-24
- Was named to the SoCon Academic Honor Roll and earned the SoCon Commissioner's Medal in 2023-24
- Two-time Carolinas Four-Ball Champion (2024, 2023)

- Led UNCG and was seventh in the SoCon with a 74.17 stroke average
- Best finish was third place in the UNCG Collegiate from Oct. 21-22
- Lowest round score was in round two of the UNCG Collegiate at four-under-par (68)
- Finished in the top 10 individually in six of the Spartans' 12 tournaments
