Millard Breaks School Record, Spartans Compete at Aggie Classic
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's and women's track teams competed at the Aggie Classic on Friday and Saturday at Marcus T. Johnson Track.
In the 200-meter run, Milania Millard broke the UNCG record with a time of 26.38. She finished in 31st place out of 37 competitors. Her time broke Mary Caldwell's record of 26.46 from April 20, 2013, at the 2013 SoCon Outdoor Championships.
Vicky Sosa paced UNCG's 1500-meter runners with a time of 4:53.36, placing fifth out of 13 competitors.
Serena Henderson clocked in personal bests in the 1500-meter and 800-meter runs. Henderson followed Sosa in the 1500-meter run, placing sixth with a time of 5:03.20. She later clocked in a time of 2:23.43 in the 800-meter run, taking home a 10th-place mark out of 19.
Lillian Douglass (7th/5:03.28), Tenley Douglass (8th/5:03.33), Emma Berrier (9th/5:10.64) and Kaitlyn Harrison (10th/5:12.82) rounded out the top 10 UNCG finishers in the 1500-meter run.
Andrew Hamilton impressed the field, as he placed first out of 20 competitors in the 1500-meter run. He clocked in a personal best time of 3:57.25. Samuel Barnard followed, finished in second place with a personal best time of 3:57.31. Evan Pena (4th/3:58.52), Lane Prochaska (6th/4:00.18), Luke Ward (8th/4:03.16) and Pierson Guerrant (9th/4:04.06) rounded out the top 10 Spartans in the 1500-meter run.
Glodi Mvovi who was the top finisher for the Spartans in the 800-meter run, also ran a personal best time in the 1500-meter race. Mvovi ran the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.97, taking home eighth out of 28 competitors.

UNCG will send Barnard and Hamilton to the Duke Twilight tomorrow to compete in the 800-meter run at 6:40 p.m. in Durham, North Carolina, at Morris Williams Stadium.
