GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball recent graduate Aidan Brewer signed with the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League on Saturday.

Brewer will be a part of the Rockers' roster on Saturday when they take on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch at Truist Point in High Point, North Carolina.

"I'd like to start off by stating how thankful I am for my time at UNCG," said Brewer. "It provided me with this opportunity to take the next step in my baseball career. The help and guidance that Coach Ellis and Maness have given me has been incredible. I'm excited for this new opportunity and looking to put my best foot forward."

The infielder from Dexter, Michigan, finished the season second on the Spartans with a .318 (67-for-211) batting average. Additionally, he was also second on the team with 10 home runs, 13 doubles, 56 runs, 48 RBI, a .913 OPS and .540 slugging percentage.

A mainstay at shortstop for the Spartans, Brewer was a force on the left side of the infield defensively, where he appeared in 52 games and made 50 starts. He ended the season with a .969 fielding percentage made up of 70 putouts and 151 assists. He was named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List in April, which recognizes the nation's top 100 shortstops. Brewer then earned a spot on both All-Southern Conference second teams as shortstop, which were voted on by coaches and members of the media. "We couldn't be more proud and excited for Brewer," said Head Coach Cody Ellis. "Aidan was an exceptional leader for us in his only year as a Spartan while helping us win a regular season championship. The Rockers are getting a great player but an even better human. We can't wait to see what he does with this opportunity."

Brewer transferred to UNCG to play one final season at the college level as a graduate student. Prior to arriving in Greensboro, he played four seasons at Hillsdale College (2019-23) and finished up as a career .321 hitter at the NCAA Division II level with 33 home runs and 131 RBI.
