Men’s Golf Finishes in Sixth at Palmas Del Mar Collegiate
HUMACAO, PUERTO RICO – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team finished the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate by placing sixth after concluding the third round on Tuesday in Humacao, Puerto Rico, at Palmas Del Mar Flamboyan.

TEAM
- UNCG finished in sixth place after carding a one-under-par (863) with rounds of 287-284-292.
- Arkansas finished first with a 21-under-par (843) after recording rounds of 290-275-278.
- TCU, Michigan, Kennesaw State, Indiana and UNCG trailed Arkansas, respectively.
- UNCG was the last to finish with an under-par score as the squad bested Nebraska, North Texas, Maryland, Rutgers, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Butler and Drexel, respectively.
- The Spartans finished in a five-way tie for most eagles with three.
- UNCG tied with Indiana for third with 51 total birdies.
INDIVIDUAL
- Jack Marcotte finished on top for the Spartans to earn a tie for 11th place with a three-under-par (213). Marcotte recorded rounds of 71-69-73 over the three-day tournament.
- Marcotte finished in a three-way tie for second place with a 2.92 average on par three's.
- Kelvin Hernandez concluded play in a tie for 25th place with an even-par score (216) after carding an even-par in all three rounds 72-72-72.
- Colin Dutton came just behind Hernandez to finish in a tie for 28th place with a one-over-par (217). Dutton recorded rounds of 70-72-75.
- Will Guidry earned a tie for 53rd place after concluding play with a seven-over-par (223) with rounds of 72-77-74.
- B.J. Boyce and Jake Lewis finished in a tie for 58th place with an eight-over-par (224).
- Boyce posted rounds of 79-71-74. He was among nine players in the field to finish on top with two eagles.
- Lewis' best score of the tournament came in round three with a one-over-par (73), after notching 74-77 in the first two rounds.
- Liam Percy rounded out the scorecard for the Spartans to finish in a tie for 71st place with a 12-over-par (228). Percy notched rounds of 76-75-77 in the event.
