GREENSBORO, N.C. – Will Guidry, Dax Isbell and Cole Isbell of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team will compete as individuals at the Elon Phoenix Invitational on Monday and Tuesday in Burlington, North Carolina, at Alamance Country Club.

THE FORMAT
Round one will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday with the second round following. The third and final round will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m., going off holes one and ten.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS

• UNCG most recently competed in the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Arkansas from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 at Blessings Golf Course in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
• The Spartans finished in 10^th place with an overall score of 61-over-par (925) with rounds of 303-314-308.
• UNCG carded 33 birdies and 143 pars over the three-round tournament.
• Kelvin Hernandez finished on top for the Spartans in a tie for 24^th place with an overall score of 11-over-par (227).

SPARTANS THIS SEASON

• The Spartans opened the 2025-26 season with a fifth place finish hosting the Bryan National Collegiate from Sept. 6-7 at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina. UNCG carded rounds of 293-294-290 for a 13-over-par (877).
• UNCG then competed at the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Cincinnati, on Sept. 15-16 at Coldstream Country Club. The Spartans finished in 11^th place after recording rounds of 286-283-294 for an overall score of 11-over-par (863).
• B.J. Boyce is currently standing at 15^th place in The Southern Conference (SoCon) with a 72.67 stroke average. 

AT LAST SEASON'S ELON PHOENIX INVITATIONAL

• The Spartans competed as a team in last season's Elon Phoenix Invitational, earning first place with a 19-under-par (833).
• Hernandez finished on top for the Spartans and in a tie for sixth place on the leaderboard behind a six-under-par (207).
• Boyce finished closely behind Hernandez in a tie for ninth place after carding a four-under-par (209). Boyce shot a 66-72-71 across the event.
• East Carolina finished in second place at the two-day tournament with a 12-under-par (840).
