United Soccer Coaches Announces Team Academic Award Winners

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2024-25 UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team was awarded its 11th United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, as announced by the organization last week. UNCG had a 3.40 GPA for the 2024-25 academic year, marking the sixth-straight year that the Spartans have received the honor.

The award, which was initiated in 1996, honors collegiate and high school men's and women's soccer teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.00 cumulative team grade-point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.

United Soccer Coaches recognized a total of 747 teams, 304 men and 443 women. The Spartans were joined by Furman and Mercer as the only three Southern Conference (SoCon) men's soccer teams to make the list this year.
UNCG concluded the 2024 season by earning a share of the SoCon regular season title with ETSU and staying undefeated in the regular season at the UNCG Soccer Stadium.

The 2025 squad will begin its preseason slate at UNCG Soccer Stadium on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. by hosting Wake Forest, who has a No. 6 United Soccer Coaches preseason ranking. All regular season home games are free admission.
