Three From Men’s Soccer Earn Academic All-District® Honors
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team had three Spartans named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-District® team for men's soccer, announced by the organization.
To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must be at least a sophomore and either a starter or important reserve with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average at their current institution and must have played in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of the school's matches.
Senior Yoshiya Okawa earned his second recognition from the association, while redshirt sophomores Steven Hernandez and Seth Wilson received their first accolades from the CSC.
UNCG's three honorees brought The Southern Conference (SoCon) total to 13 awardees. Five were from Furman, three were from Wofford and two were from Mercer.

The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 10, 2024.
