Tattevin Secures Final SoCon Offensive Player of the Week to End Regular Season

SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Arnaud Tattevin of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team has been named The Southern Conference (SoCon) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this year after scoring two goals in the season finale against Mercer, the league announced Tuesday.

SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Arnaud Tattevin of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team has been named The Southern Conference (SoCon) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this year after scoring two goals in the season finale against Mercer, the league announced Tuesday.   

The Rennes, France, native earned his third SoCon Offensive Player of the Week award of his career after his senior night performance against Mercer on Nov. 1, in the 3-0 win. The forward opened the scoring in the 67th minute with a beautiful strike that went upper-90 to put the Spartans up 1-0. In the 79th minute, a Mercer handball in the box put the captain on the penalty spot. Tattevin lined up his approach and buried a shot left that the keeper didn't react to give UNCG the insurance goal of a 2-0 lead.  

Tattevin in his senior year has put together a career year for the Spartans netting eight goals and two assists for 18 points on the season for his career high.   

"I am happy to receive the award," said Tattevin. "It's always nice to be recognized but now we shift the focus to the game on Friday!"
