Hyatt Named to Spartan Softball Coaching Staff

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former Clemson standout catcher JoJo Hyatt has been added to the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball coaching staff, Head Coach Janelle Breneman announced Wednesday.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former Clemson standout catcher JoJo Hyatt has been added to the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball coaching staff, Head Coach Janelle Breneman announced Wednesday.  
 
"I am excited to welcome JoJo to our program and complete our staff," stated Coach Breneman. "She comes to us with high academic standards from Clemson and has had various experiences within an athletic department. Her passion for the sport and positive experience as a student-athlete will benefit our program. I am thrilled that JoJo has elected this career path coaching softball at UNCG."
 
Hyatt spent the past five years as a starter for the Clemson Tigers behind the plate. Hyatt started in 158 games and played in 171 contests for the Tigers, averaging .249 (83-for-333) at the plate with a .338 on-base percentage. She scored 21 runs, tallied seven doubles, three triples, and one home run. She registered 46 RBI and walked 40 times while at the plate.
 
Hyatt was part of the 2021 Clemson team that won the ACC Championship, as well as was a NCAA Regional participant in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 reaching the NCAA Super Regionals in 2022 and 2023.
 
She was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee each year and part of the Executive Board from 2021-23. Hyatt was a member of the Tiger Leadership Academy, a developmental program working on leadership and communication with other student-athletes, coaching staffs and executives for the future.
 
Hyatt earned a certificate in Youth Development Leadership from Clemson in June 2024. In May 2023, she completed her master's degree in Athletic Leadership and earned her bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management with a concentration in Community Recreation, Sport and Camp Management in December 2021 along with a minor in Athletic Leadership.
