Women’s Tennis Wraps up Fall Slate at UNC Wilmington Invitational

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team wrapped up its 2025 fall slate with the UNC Wilmington (UNCW) Invitational on Sunday in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the UNCW Tennis Courts.

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team wrapped up its 2025 fall slate with the UNC Wilmington (UNCW) Invitational on Sunday in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the UNCW Tennis Courts.

Kayley Bushnell paced the Spartans by capturing three singles wins in the tournament. Sophia Cedeno followed closely behind with two singles victories, while Lauren Thomson and Sara Kostic collected one win apiece.

Kostic and Sofia Somoano led UNCG with two doubles wins across the three-day event. Cedeno and Thomson picked up one doubles win on the weekend.

The Spartans will begin the 2026 campaign with a doubleheader in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Jan. 15. UNCG will first face Duquesne in a neutral site matchup before taking on the Virginia Cavaliers that afternoon.
