Four from Women’s Tennis Earn Academic All-District® Honors
CSC Announces Academic All-District® Team
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team had four Spartans named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC), Academic All-District® Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Olivia Gallagher earned All-District honors for the second consecutive year, while Sydney Bly, Raegan Mitchell and Lauren Thomson earned their first ever recognitions this season.
To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and need to be in the lineup for 70% of matches that include team scores.
CSC All-District honor was fist added in the 2022-23 season. It was previously of the at-large program.
From The Southern Conference (SoCon) four each from Furman and Western Carolina and one from Mercer made the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team.

- Graduated recently with a degree in nursing with a 3.81 GPA
- Recorded seven overall singles wins on the season
- Notched a total of six overall doubles wins
- Five of those doubles wins came with teammate Alexandra Dodashev

Kinesiology
Sophomore | Sandy Springs, Ga.
- CSC Academic All-District® team (2025)
- Majoring in kinesiology with a 4.00 cumulative GPA
- Finished on top for the team with nine overall doubles wins
- Eight of those doubles wins came with Raegan Mitchell
- Posted four overall singles wins this season

Senior | Orange Beach, Ala.
- CSC Academic All-District® team (2025)
- Recently graduated with a degree in nursing with a 3.92 cumulative GPA
- Finished second on the team with eight overall doubles wins
- All eight of those doubles wins came while competing with Bly
- Recorded two singles wins this season
Lauren Thomson
Kinesiology
Sophomore | Winston-Salem, N.C.
- CSC Academic All-District® team (2025)
- Majoring in kinesiology with a 3.62 cumulative GPA
- Finished on top for the team with eight singles wins
- Snagged five overall doubles wins on the season
- Three of those doubles wins came with freshman standout Elisabeth Birkevold
The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Tuesday, May 20.
