Women's Tennis Concludes ITA Regional in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL-HILL, N.C. – Alexandra Dodashev, Olivia Gallagher and Sydney Bly of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team competed the first two days at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), hosted by North Carolina at Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Alexandra Dodashev, Olivia Gallagher and Sydney Bly of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team competed the first two days at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), hosted by North Carolina at Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Dodashev led by earning one singles win at the tournament. Dodashev and Gallagher notched their doubles win on Thursday to continue play on Friday. 

FIRST DAY (Thursday, Oct. 17)
Dodashev and Gallagher (UNCG) defeated Xenia Jeromin and Ines Bachir El Bouhali (East Carolina), 8-6
Dodashev (UNCG) defeated Jingyi Li (Wake Forest), 6-4, 7-6 (7-3)
Dodashev (UNCG) lost to Ava Krug (Duke), 3-6, 2-6.
Bly (UNCG) lost to Gaia Parravicini (Clemson),1-6, 4-6
Bly (UNCG) lost to Kassandrao Distaulo (Charleston Southern), 6-7 (4-7), 1-6

SECOND DAY (Friday, Oct. 18)
Dodashev and Gallagher (UNCG) lost to Madison Schwarz and Jade Groen (Western Carolina), 1-8
Gallagher (UNCG) lost to Gabia Paskauskas (N.C. State), 3-6, 0-6
Gallagher (UNCG) lost to Ellie Hammond (Davidson), 5-7, 2-6

UP NEXT
