GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team will compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Chapel Hill Regional, hosted by North Carolina from Thursday to Monday at Chewning Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

• A live stream of the ITA Chapel Hill Regional will be available at GoHeels.com/watch, and results will be posted throughout the weekend at this link.
• Play is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. each day.
• Chewning Tennis Center/Chapel Hill, N.C.

COMPETING FOR UNCG
Sophia Cedeno main draw singles and Lauren Thomson qualifying singles. Thomson & Cedeno, Sofia Somoano & Sara Kostic and Sydney Bly & Ella Olexa all main draw doubles.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

• The Spartans have competed in two tournaments in the 2025 fall season.
• UNCG began the fall campaign by hosting the UNCG Tournament from Sept. 13-14 at UNCG Tennis Courts.
• Cedeno led the Spartans by capturing two singles wins on the weekend. Doubles duo Kostic and Kayley Bushnell paced the squad with two doubles victories over the two days.
• The Spartans most recently competed at the Elon Tournament from Sept. 19-20 in Elon, North Carolina.
• Cedeno led the Spartans with two singles wins, while Bushnell captured one singles win in the tournament.

PREVIOUSLY AT THE ITA REGIONALS
Alumni Alexandra Dodashev and Olivia Gallagher and current junior Sydney Bly competed at last season's ITA Chapel Hill Regional. Dodashev led by earning one singles win at the tournament. Dodashev and Gallagher notched their doubles win on day one.
