Five From Baseball Secure Academic All-District® Honors
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team had five Spartans named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-District® team for baseball, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average in their second year at the current institution and must have played in 90 percent of the institution's games or made starts in 66 percent of the games. For a baseball pitcher to qualify, they must make 17 appearances or log 25 innings pitched.
Senior Rob Ready earned his second recognition from the association, while Jacob Budzik, Luke Jenkins, Sam Murchison and Brantley Truitt received their first accolades from the CSC.
UNCG's five honorees brought The Southern Conference (SoCon) total to 21 awardees. Five were from Western Carolina, five were from Mercer, three were from Wofford and three were from VMI.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Team, announced by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced later in June.
