NC State Takes Down Baseball with Late Runs in Midweek Showdown
RALEIGH, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team was defeated 9-6 by the NC State Wolfpack in a non-conference midweek game on Tuesday night at Doak Field at Dail Park.

The Wolfpack then tied it in the third, 5-5, with a pair of runs scoring on an RBI single hit to right by Ty Head.
Josh Hogue gave NC State its first lead of the night when he singled through the right side, allowing Luke Nixon to score from second and make it 6-5 Wolfpack.
NC State scored the tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Head drove in Hogue when he grounded out to second.
The Wolfpack extended their lead to 7-5 during the bottom of the seventh inning when Head grounded out to second, which allowed Hogue to score from third.
The Spartans answered to cut the gap back to one, 7-6, when Jenkins hit a grounder to the right side, allowing Parker Wight to score from third.
