SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., Ingles Markets, and The Southern Conference (SoCon) announced the Ingles SoCon Game of the Week broadcast package for basketball on Friday, featuring 19 regular-season games and select coverage at the 2026 Ingles SoCon Basketball Championship.
 
The UNCG women's basketball home game against Chattanooga on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, and the UNCG men's basketball game at Wofford on Jan. 7, 2026, will both take place on Nexstar and ESPN+. 
 
The women's game against the Mocs, originally slated for 7:00 p.m. will now take place at 6:00 p.m., while the men's game will stay at a 6:00 p.m. tip-off in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
 
"We're excited to continue our partnership with Nexstar Media Group and Ingles Markets to bring SoCon basketball to television screens across our region," said SoCon Commissioner Michael Cross. "This year's slate of games is our most extensive regional media package and our largest women's basketball package in conference history – landmark achievements made possible by Ingles Markets and Nexstar that underscore the growth and excitement surrounding SoCon basketball. These games showcase the competitive excellence and regional rivalries that make the SoCon special. Fans will witness the passion and tradition that defines SoCon basketball at its highest level.

The Game of the Week slate tips off on Sunday, Oct. 26, with No. 15 Alabama visiting Furman for a 3:00 p.m. men's exhibition game to introduce newly renovated Timmons Arena. A pair of ASUN/SoCon matchups will air on the men's side in November, with Lipscomb at Mercer (Nov. 9, 2:00 p.m.) and Stetson at Western Carolina (Nov. 16, 1:00 p.m.). A marquee women's matchup follows the Stetson-WCU game on Nov. 16, with the Catamounts hosting No. 6 Oklahoma at 3:30 p.m.

All 10 men's teams and six of the eight women's teams will play at least once as part of the 2025-26 Ingles SoCon Game of the Week schedule. The first conference battle comes on Jan. 7, with UNCG traveling to Spartanburg, South Carolina, to face defending men's champion Wofford at 6:00 p.m. Chattanooga visits defending champion UNCG on Jan. 22, in the first women's conference game in the broadcast package.
 
A men's wildcard matchup will close out the regular-season broadcasts on Feb. 25, with the teams chosen and announced on Feb. 9. The schedule also includes Friday coverage of the Ingles SoCon Basketball Championship on March 6 in Asheville, North Carolina.

The women's basketball team will start the 2025-26 campaign with a trip to California, facing Stanford on Monday, Nov. 3 at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT before taking on San Francisco on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.

Men's basketball will begin the season traveling to face Big 12 foe Kansas State on Nov. 4 in Bramlage Coliseum at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT. The Spartans will host Triad foe Elon on Nov. 8 at 4:00 p.m. inside Fleming Gymnasium for their home opener.
