Men’s Golf to Conclude Regular Season at Stitch Intercollegiate
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team is set to conclude the 2024-25 regular season at the Stitch Intercollegiate, hosted by N.C. State on Friday and Saturday at Loonie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina.

THE FORMAT
The tournament will consist of three rounds with two on Friday and the third and final round on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS
- Will Guidry, Keenan Royalty, Andrew Graham and Liam Percy recently competed individually at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.
- Guidry finished on top for the Spartans in a tie for 28th place with a six-over-par (146). The freshman carded rounds of 72-74 in the two-day tournament.
- As a team, the Spartans most recently earned a fifth-place finish at the Maridoe Collegiate, hosted by North Texas from March 31 to April 1 in Carrollton, Texas.
- UNCG carded a 33-over-par (897) in the two-day tournament behind rounds of 295-294-308.
- UNCG finished just behind then-ranked No. 7 Oklahoma, No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 3 Arizona State and No. 14 Alabama, respectively.
- The Spartans finished third with a 4.82 average on par five holes on the 13-team leaderboard.
- Jake Lewis moved up 19 positions in the third round to finish tied for 10th place with a four-over-par (220).
LAST TIME AT STITCH INTERCOLLEGIATE
- UNCG carded rounds of 293-290-292 to earn second place out of 12 total schools competing at last season's Stitch Intercollegiate.
- Host school, N.C. State claimed first place at the tournament, five strokes in front of UNCG with an 18-over-par (870).
- UNCG finished on top in two statistical categories with a 4.80 average in par fives and a total of 45 birdies.
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
- The Spartans have carded four first-place finishes this season. UNCG finished first at the Sea Palms Invitational on March 15, 2025, the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Feb. 25, 2025, the Elon Invitational on Oct. 15, 2024, and the Bryan National Collegiate on Sept. 10, 2024.
- The last time UNCG collected four tournament wins in a single season was in 2018-19 when the team earned The Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship Title.
- This is the first time in UNCG men's golf program history the team has collected four regular season tournament wins.
- UNCG is currently ranked 84th nationally with a 285.7 scoring average.
- Jack Marcotte is third in the SoCon with a 71.65 stroke average.
- Kelvin Hernandez is fourth with a 71.77 average.
- Hernandez notched his first collegiate win at the Bryan National Collegiate on Sept. 10 behind an eight-under-par (208).
- The squad has earned five SoCon Golfer of the Week recognitions this season: Lewis (March 19, 2025 & April 2, 2025), Marcotte & Colin Dutton (Feb. 26, 2024) and Hernandez (Sept. 11, 2024).
- This is the first time in UNCG program history that the team has earned five SoCon Golfer of the Week recognitions in a single season.
- The previous record was four in a season, which was achieved in both 2021-22 and 2019-20.
- UNCG continues to lead the SoCon in Men's Golfer of the Week honors with 41 in program history.
