GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team will head to Sea Island, Georgia, to take on the Sea Palms Invitational from Thursday to Saturday at Sea Palms Resort, hosted by The Southern Conference (SoCon) foe Western Carolina.

THE FORMAT
The tournament will be three rounds, 18 holes each day. Thursday will be an 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. tee off from holes one and 10. Friday's second roundwill be an 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. start from holes one and 10. Saturday's final round will begin at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS

• The Spartans most recently finished in first place in the 16-team field at the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
• UNCG carded rounds of 273-279-283 over the three-day tournament for an overall score of 29-under-par (835).
• Colin Dutton and Jack Marcotte finished on top for the Spartans in a tie for fourth place behind an eight-under-par (208).
• Dutton moved up 13 positions from the second round after notching a five-under-par (67) in the third round for his fourth-place finish. Dutton posted a one-over-par (73) and four-under-par (68) in the first and second rounds, respectively. 
• Marcotte posted rounds of 68-67-73 to secure his fourth-place finish. He finished in a four-way tie for second place in the field with 16 birdies.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS

• On the 2024-25 season, UNCG has posted three first-place finishes.
• UNCG finished first at the Bryan National Collegiate on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, the Elon Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, and the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
• The Spartans have recorded four top-10 finishes on the 2024-25 campaign.
• Kelvin Hernandez is third in the SoCon with a 71.22 stroke average.
• Marcotte is fourth with a 71.39 average.
• Hernandez notched his first collegiate win at the Bryan National Collegiate on Tuesday, Sept 10 behind an eight-under-par (208).
• Three Spartans have earned SoCon Golfer of the Week recognitions this season. Hernandez (Sept. 11, 2024) and Marcotte & Dutton (Feb. 26, 2024).
• UNCG is currently ranked 102^nd nationally through six events with a 286.4 scoring average and a 53-27-1 record.
