Four Spartans of the Men’s Golf Team to Compete Individually at App State Intercollegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Keenan Royalty, Will Guidry, Liam Percy and Andrew Graham of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team will compete as individuals at the App State Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday to conclude the 2024 fall slate at Cedar Rock Country Club in Lenoir, North Carolina.

THE FORMAT
The 36-hole event will feature 18 holes apiece Saturday and Sunday. Tee times are scheduled to run from 9:40 a.m. to 10:43 a.m. on Saturday, with a 9 a.m. start on Sunday.
 
The tournament includes a 31-player field represented by eight different schools competing individually.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS

  • UNCG most recently placed first as a team at the Elon Invitational on Tuesday in Burlington, North Carolina, at Alamance Country Club.
  • Tuesday's win marks the second first-place result for the Spartans this season as the team also claimed the top spot at the Bryan National Collegiate on Sept. 10.
  • UNCG carded a 19-under-par (833) with rounds of 275-280-278 to claim first place out of the 18-team field.
  • Kelvin Hernandez finished on top for the Spartans and in a tie for sixth place on the leaderboard behind a six-under-par (207). The sophomore recorded rounds of 72-67-68 at the tournament.
  • B.J. Boyce finished closely behind Hernandez in a tie for ninth place after carding a four-under-par (209). Boyce shot a 66-72-71 across the event.
  • Jake LewisColin Dutton and Jack Marcotte all finished the tournament in a tie for 15th place with an even par (213).
