Dovlo Earns SoCon Offensive Player of the Week
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Junior forward Enzo Dovlo of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team has been named The Southern Conference (SoCon) Offensive Player of the Week after scoring five goals and one assist in the inaugural week of the 2025 season, the league announced Tuesday.
The Strasbourg, France, native netted two goals with one assist in the season opener against Radford as the Spartans trounced the Highlanders, 6-2, last Thursday. On Sunday against VCU, Dovlo scored his first career hat-trick and the game-winning goal in the narrow 3-2 win.
Dovlo is in his third season at UNCG and has played and started in all 35 matches for the Spartans since arriving. His five goals in the first two games tied his goal total for the entire year last season. Dovlo currently leads the nation in goals (5) and points scored (11) after the first week of play. This marks Dovlo's third SoCon Player of the Week honor of his career after previously winning the award last season on November 5, 2024.
"It's incredible." said Dolvo when asked about his past week performance, "Soccer is like art, scoring that much is really good to help my team win and improve to 2-0."
