Khrystyuk Earns Spot on All-SoCon Singles Second Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Tymofiy Khrystyuk of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team has been named to The Southern Conference (SoCon) All-Conference Singles Second Team, the league office announced Wednesday.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Tymofiy Khrystyuk of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team has been named to The Southern Conference (SoCon) All-Conference Singles Second Team, the league office announced Wednesday.

The Poltava, Ukraine, native owns an 8-14 record in singles this season, which includes a 1-2 mark in conference play. This season marks Khrystuk's third year with the Spartans. He owns a career record of 25-39 overall and 6-10 in the league when competing in singles dating back to the 2022-23 campaign.

Additionally, Khrystyuk owns a 6-12 overall record in doubles this season. He has earned three wins alongside Luke Thomson and three others while teaming up with John Gabelic.

This marks Khrystuk's second time being named to an All-SoCon team. He was named to the conference's first team last season after finishing the season with a singles record of 9-10 overall and 3-4 in conference play. Khrystuk also finished last season with a 7-12 record in doubles while going 2-5 in the SoCon.

Khrystyuk is a two-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete and ITA All-Academic Team member and was named UNCG's Male Rookie of the Year following the 2022-23 season. The junior has also appeared on the SoCon Academic Honor Roll twice.

The Spartans will enter the 2025 SoCon Tournament as the No. 6 seed, facing No. 3 Samford in the SoCon Quarterfinals on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
