Men’s Golf Begins 2024-25 Season Hosting Bryan National Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team will begin its 2024-25 season by hosting the Bryan National Collegiate from Sept. 8-10 at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.

THE FORMAT
The 11 total teams competing will play one round each day for the three-round tournament. Sunday and Monday will be an 8:30 a.m. tee time off holes one and 10. Tuesday will be a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.

SPARTANS LAST SEASON

  • UNCG concluded the 2023-24 season by making Division I program history with its first appearance at the NCAA Championship with current sophomore Kelvin Hernandez participating as an individual.
  • Last season marked the fifth time in the Division I era that a UNCG team has received a bid to an NCAA Regional, while it was the eighth time overall as three individuals have made appearances as well. 
  • The Spartans won two regular season tournaments last season in the Bryan National Collegiate and the Dorado Beach Collegiate.
  • UNCG had eight top-5 and nine top-10 tournament finishes including the SoCon Tournament and the NCAA Regionals. 

LAST TIME HOSTING BRYAN NATIONAL COLLEGIATE

  • UNCG finished in first place at last year's Bryan National Collegiate after recording its best score in program history with a 21-under-par (267) in the third round of the tournament.
  • The Spartans finished the three-round tournament with a 37-under-par (827) to finish 33 strokes ahead of second-place Elon, who had a four-under-par (860).

UNCG will next turn its attention to the Bearcat Invitational, hosted by Cincinnati from Sept. 16-17 in Cincinnati, Ohio at Coldstream Country Club.
