Women's Basketball to Face Triad Foe Wake Forest in Winston-Salem

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team will continue its road slate with Triad foe Wake Forest on Friday, Dec. 20 at 3:00 p.m. at LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

SERIES HISTORY
Wake Forest holds the slight edge over UNCG at 8-7 in the overall meetings. The two team's last met in the 2021-22 season in Winston-Salem when the Demon Deacons took the contest, 56-45. The Spartans took the prior matchup in LJVM Coliseum, 67-65, in the 2019-20 campaign.

  • The Deacs are second in the ACC and 26th nationally with a 54.4 scoring defense average.

  • Rylie Theuerkauf leads the team with 112 points.
  • Malaya Cowles stands out with 44 field goals and six blocks.
  • Raegyn Conley and Theuerkauf pace the squad from downtown with 12 three-pointers apiece.
  • Demeara Hinds and Tamia Jones lead the team defensively with 67 boards and 25 steals, respectively.
  • Elise Williams is the best passer on the team with 34 assists.
  • Wake Forest was picked to finish 17th in the 2024-25 ACC Women's Basketball Predicted Order of Finish.
  • The Deacs will continue their conference slate at Virginia on Thursday, Jan. 2 at 7:00 p.m.
