Women’s Golf in Fourth After Two Rounds at 2025 SoCon Championship
WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team is in fourth following the second round on Tuesday at The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship at Solina Golf Club in West Columbia, South Carolina.

TEAM
- The Spartans stand at fourth out of the nine teams from the conference at 41-over-par (617) after posting a 26-over-par (314) on day two of the tournament.
- UNCG is two strokes ahead of ETSU (619) and two shy of Mercer (615).
- Furman is the leader at 24-over-par (600) after rounds of 295-305.
- The Spartans are fourth in the tournament when competing on par fives, shooting even par as a team on par five holes.
- UNCG is fourth in the tournament after two rounds with 19 birdies.
- Additionally, the Spartans are also fourth with 91 pars.
INDIVIDUAL
- Sophomore Kasey McIlvaine and freshman Lulu Leetham are leading the Spartans and tied for seventh through two rounds at seven-over-par (151).
- Leetham has posted rounds of 73-78 while McIlvaine has carded 74-77.
- McIlvaine is tied for first when competing on par fives at five-under-par with a 4.5 stroke average.
- Leetham is not far behind at four-under-par on par fives with an average of 4.6 strokes. She is also tied for fourth with six birdies so far.
- Junior Julia Baeumken is fourth on the team and tied for 27th on the player leaderboard after shooting 78-79 so far to stand at 13-over-par (157).
- Senior Ava Romfo has rounds of 78-83 on her card and is tied for 35th at 17-over-par (161).
- Freshman Sophie Lauture competed in her first round on Tuesday, subbing in for sophomore Elle Burnette. Lauture shot an eight-over-par (80) in the second round.
- Furman's Audrey Ryu possesses a four-stroke lead for first on the player leaderboard. She is two-under-par (142) after two rounds.
