Romfo Leads Women’s Golf After Round One of Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational

TEAM
- The Spartans carded a 30-over-par (310) in the opening round on Friday.
- UNCG finished the first round with a 3.16 stroke average on par threes, which ranks third in the tournament.
- The Spartans totaled 49 pars and five birdies as a team in the first round.
- Kentucky leads the tournament at four-over-par (284).
INDIVIDUAL
- Senior Ava Romfo led the Spartans and is tied for 34th overall after carding a four-over-par (74) in the first round. She led the Spartans with two birdies.
- Sophomore Kasey McIlvaine finished the first round second on the Spartans and tied for 53rd at six-over-par (76).
- Junior Julia Baeumken is third on the team and tied for 65th after shooting an eight-over-par (78) in round one.
- Freshman Sophie Lauture and Sophomore Elle Burnette are tied for 85th after finishing Friday 12-over-par (82).
- Wake Forest's Carolina Lopez-Chacarra leads the tournament at three-under-par (67).
