Women’s Golf Announces Lori Beth Adams as Assistant Head Coach

UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf Head Coach Ashley Leonard has announced the hiring of Lori Beth Adams as an assistant head coach ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Greensboro, N.C.-  UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf Head Coach Ashley Leonard has announced the hiring of Lori Beth Adams as an assistant head coach ahead of the 2025-26 season. 

Before being hired at UNCG, Adams was the women's golf assistant at Elon from 2021-25. While with the Phoenix, she organized practice, instructed players and coordinated logistics for the team. 

An accomplished golfer on both the amateur and professional level, Adams received full LPGA status in 2019 after ranking 15th on the Symetra Money List after the 2018 season. During that season, she finished tied for third at the Tour Championship of the Symetra Tour. On the amateur level, Adams qualified for the 2015 U.S. Women's Open. 

The Burlington, North Carolina, native was a four-year starter for the UNCW Seahawks from 2010-2014. While there, she finished nine collegiate tournaments in the Top five, had four Collegiate Top 10 Tournament finishes and achieved four Top 15 tournament finishes. She also won the 2014 Seahawk Classic shooting a 74, 71, 72 on three days of action. 

"We are excited to add Lori Beth to the coach staff." said Leonard, "She brings a lot of experience as a former LPGA tour player and coach. She will have an immediate impact on our team and I'm excited to get to work with her as we begin our season." 

UNCG will begin its fall portion of the season on Sept. 6, as they take part in the Golfweek Fall Challenge at Caledonia Golf Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
