Women’s Golf Reveals 2025-26 Schedule
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team and Head Coach Ashley Leonard have announced the schedule for the 2025-26 season.
The Spartans return to the course this season after a historic 2024-25 campaign where current junior Kasey Mcllvaine led UNCG and tied for seventh at four-over-par (220) with round scores of 73-75-72 at the National Golf Invitational. Mcllvaine also led the Spartans at The Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship, tying for seventh at nine-over-par (225) after carding rounds of 74-77-74.
UNCG finished in fourth place out of nine teams in the 2025 SoCon Championships, posting a 57-over-par (921) and a 303-314-304 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. This placing is the highest in program history since 2013 and fell three strokes shy of third-place Mercer (918).
The Spartans also won the Puerto Rico Shootout on March 5, 2025, with current sophomore Lulu Leetham finishing runner-up in the event. Leetham posted a four-under-par (140) with rounds of 69-71. UNCG also carded a second-place finish at its home event of the UNCG Collegiate on October 22, 2024, finishing nine-under-par (851) and four-strokes shy of the lead.
" We are excited to get the season going in a couple weeks and look forward to the challenge ahead," said Leonard "We have a great group of returners and one freshman this year. We will be challenged early and learn a lot about our team in September, and they are ready for the challenge. We look forward to seeing our Spartan fans on the course this season cheering our ladies on!"
