Four Women’s Golfers Named WGCA All-American Scholars
WGCA ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLARS ANNOUNCED
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golfers, including graduate student Anna Bowman, senior Victoria Cook, junior Grace Holcomb and freshman Elle Burnette were named to the 2023-24 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, the association announced Monday.
Bowman and Cook have now received the recognition four times in their careers, while Holcomb has earned it three times and Burnette is honored for the first time.
A total of 1,497 women's collegiate golfers from 412 programs were recognized with the honor. To be selected on scholar team, student-athletes must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
Bowman closed out the year with a 3.60 GPA and a spot on the Athletic Director's List after studying Business Administration.
Cook posted a 3.72 GPA for the school year to appear on the Chancellor's List, Dean's List and the Athletic Director's List while studying Biology.
Holcomb finished the school year with a 3.53 GPA while continuing to study marketing. Additionally, she was recently named to the Dean's List as well as Athletic Director's List.
Burnette capped her first season at UNCG with a 3.93 GPA and appeared on the Chancellor's List, Dean's List and the Athletic Director's List. She is studying Consumer, Apparel and Retail Studies.

The WGCA, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 750 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
