Women's Tennis to Face No. 1 Furman in SoCon Quarterfinals

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team will enter The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Tournament as the No. 8 seed, facing No. 1 Furman in the SoCon Quarterfinals on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
UNCG concluded the 2025 regular season with a 3-17 overall record and 0-7 mark in the SoCon.
The 41st-ranked Paladins, who claimed their 27th regular season championship, enter the tournament with an 18-3 overall record and went a perfect 7-0 in league play.
No. 1 Furman defeated No. 8 seed UNCG, 7-0 earlier this season on February 27 in Greenville, South Carolina. The Paladins and Spartans last met in the quarterfinals of the SoCon Tournament in 2023, which Furman won 4-0. They will square off at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
