Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Hosting UNCG Tournament
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's tennis team wrapped up its first weekend of the 2025 fall season after hosting the UNCG Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at the UNCG Tennis Courts.
Sophia Cedeno led the Spartans by capturing two singles wins on the weekend. Doubles duo Sara Kostic and Kayley Bushnell paced the squad with two doubles victories over the two days.
FIRST DAY (Saturday, Sept.13)

Cedeno and Lauren Thomson (UNCG) defeated Randy Rakotoarilala and Juana Gomez Weiss (NC A&T), 6-3
Sofia Somoano and Sydney Bly (UNCG) defeated Hana El Sherif and Dorsa Cheraghi (NC A&T), 7-6 (2)
Kostic and Bushnell (UNCG) lost to Flavia Villegas and Tabeth Tadoum (NC A&T), 3-6
