GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team defeated Queens, 3-1, (22-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-15) and Sacred Heart, 3-0, (25-10, 25-20, 25-20) to begin the 2025 regular season on Friday in Greensboro, North Carolina, in Fleming Gymnasium.

Match 1: UNCG 3 – Queens 1
Set 1 – The Royals took an early 5-2 lead over the Spartans to start the match. UNCG took its first lead with a 3-0 run featuring a kill from Izora Gragg, followed by two consecutive service aces from Robin Rosser to make it 8-7 Spartans. Queens bounced back with a 4-1 run to regain the lead and hold it for the remainder of the set. Despite UNCG coming back within one on a couple occasions, Queens was able to earn set one, 25-22.

Regardless of Queens being within a point a few times, a kill from Rosser followed by an attack error from the Royals granted UNCG set two, 25-22.
