Spring kicks off with a flurry of artistic creativity with written works, music, and exhibitions. Faculty and staff from across UNCG will share their expertise in their field of research.

Where Things Land

Gatewood Gallery
This exhibition curated by Art Professor Michael Ananian features the work of artist Nicole Santiago. A closing reception and artist talk will be held on April 21 from 4 – 6:00 p.m.

Symphony Orchestra
April 2, 2 – 3:30 p.m.
Tew Recital Hall Atrium
Steven Stusek, professor of music, will perform on the saxophone in this show conducted by Associate Professor Jungho Kim.

Writing for a Reason
April 9, 7 – 9 p.m.
Curry Building, Room 225
Josephus III, African American & Diaspora Studies Artist in Residence, will host a creative writing and performance workshop designed to highlight and hone your story.

“What the Light Leaves Hidden” Reading
April 11, 1 – 2:30 p.m.
Jackson Library, Hodges Reading Room
Terry Kennedy will read from his latest poetry collection. The reading, hosted by the MFA Writing Program and Special Collections & University Archives, will also include new poems written in honor of Robert Watson and Fred Chappell. A reception will follow.

The Role of Memory in Correcting False Beliefs

Associate Professor of Psychology Chris Wahlheim will present as part of the From Beliefs to Shared Truths: Leveraging Research for Informed Understanding lecture series.
