Lunch and Learn for Faculty Interested in Fulbright Awards

This April 24 event is for faculty to learn all about becoming part of a global community of Fulbright scholars working to share knowledge and create cultural exchange. The post Lunch and Learn for Faculty Interested in Fulbright Awards appeared first on UNC Greensboro.

Each year, more than 8,000 Fulbright awards are granted to scholars for sharing knowledge and creating cultural exchange. Faculty who are interested in becoming a part of this global community have a chance to learn more.

On Thursday, April 24 from Noon to 1:30 p.m. there will be a lunch and learn all about the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program. UNCG faculty can RSVP here.

For more information, please contact Dr. Gwen Robbins Schug at gmrobbin@uncg.edu or Dr. Daniel Rabinovich at d_rabinovic@uncg.edu.

Most recently, Dr. Joy Bhadury, Dean of the Bryan School of Business and Economics, received a Fulbright Specialist Program award. He will complete a project at University of Venda in South Africa that aims to exchange knowledge and establish partnerships benefiting participants, institutions, and communities both in the U.S. and overseas through a variety of educational and training activities within education.

The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to build lasting connections between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Since its establishment in 1946, it has given more than 400,000 students, scholars, teachers, artists, and scientists the opportunity to study, teach and conduct research, exchange ideas, and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.
