Softball Kinesiology Majors Earn Academic Honors
CSC Announces Softball Academic All-District team GREENSBORO, N.C.
– The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball team had five Spartans named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-District® team for softball, announced by the organization on Tuesday.To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average in their second year at the current institution and must have played in at least 90 percent of the team's games or start in 66 percent of the team's games.
Senior Anna White and junior Grace Loftin earn their second recognitions from the association, while junior Reese Byrd and sophomores Salem Ward and Rhyann Jones receive their first accolade.
UNCG's five honorees brought the Southern Conference (SoCon) total to 27 awardees. Five were from Chattanooga, five were from Mercer, five were from Western Carolina, four were from Furman, and three were from Wofford.

The 2024 Academic All-District® Softball Team, announced by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-June.
