GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw while hosting No. 19 Charlotte on Friday night at UNCG Soccer Stadium.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw while hosting No. 19 Charlotte on Friday night at UNCG Soccer Stadium.

In goal for the Spartans, redshirt sophomore Seth Wilson turned aside four shots for his fourth clean sheet of the season and the sixth of his college career.

Friday's match marked the first scoreless draw the Spartans have been involved in since exactly two years prior on Sept. 13, 2022, when UNCG tied with SMU in Dallas, Texas.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans and 49ers were still scoreless after 45 minutes of action in Greensboro. While Charlotte finished the first half with a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks, UNCG had the edge, 7-6, in the shots category. UNCG's Wilson made a pair of saves while Charlotte's Leo Stritter made one stop during the opening half.

The second half saw the 49ers continue to apply pressure, outshooting the Spartans 10-1 for a 16-8 upper hand in the match. Additionally, Charlotte totaled four more corner kicks in the second half to outnumber the Spartans 7-0 on the night. Wilson made two more saves in the second to keep it a scoreless final. His stellar play included a potential game-saving mid-air snag on a cross to turn away a threat in the 88th minute.

- Wilson, Axel Alejandre, Jack Birch, Keanan Bader, Daniel Longo and Emmanuel Hagan each played the entire 90 minutes.
