UNCG DOC will host the Local Lemon in a fundraiser/recruitment type event. The Local Lemon serves several types of specialty drinks focused around lemonade. They will be donating 20% of all sales back to UNCG DOC. The funds raised will go directly back to the community by paying for individuals who cannot afford the dental care they need.

As the foundational level of the Spartan Leadership Challenge, Bronze is built on the Social Change Model and empowers you to explore your personal values, develop your leadership identity, and begin leading with purpose. Through five interactive workshops, hands-on service in the community, and participation in professional development opportunities, you’ll engage in meaningful reflection and build the skills that prepare you for future leadership on campus, in your career, and in your community. By completing Bronze, you’re not only advancing your leadership potential—you’re also completing the foundational level of the Spartan Experience, aligning your growth with UNCG’s leadership and civic engagement competencies. Do you love dogs? You can spend your Friday afternoon with us as we venture out to Piney Lake for a nice hike while spending time with some great pups from the local SPCA shelter. Come out and enjoy the fresh air, spend time exploring the natural world around you, and provide a great opportunity for some of the dogs at the shelter. There will be plenty of time for everyone to relax, including the dogs! This trip is perfect for anyone who appreciates the outdoors, self-care, and of course: dogs! Catalyst is a program where participants engage in meaningful service and be a spark for change! You and your fellow students will have the opportunity to learn about the social and environmental issues that have an impact on our community, serve alongside community partners in the triad, and reflect on your experiences as a group.
Catalyst Days are open to all UNCG students. Registration will begin on Monday, September 21st at 10:00 AM through the RSVP button. We have space for 13 participants, and registration is open until spots are filled. Once you complete the registration, your Catalyst Leaders will be in contact with information about next steps. Join us Saturday night for a full moon paddle around Belews Lake. Once you get comfortable in the canoe, we will begin our peaceful journey around the lake, making meaningful memories along the way.
