Start this Summer Break soaking in the sun and catching waves surfing at Wrightsville Beach! This trip requires no previous surfing experience as we are excited to get everyone to ride their first wave. Every day we will eat breakfast at our campsite and depart for the beach to spend the whole day catching waves, playing in the water, and sunbathing. We will return to the campsite to eat a delicious dinner, sit by the campfire, and rest before the next day of surfing! Spend this weekend full of adventure, the sound of the ocean, new friends, and great food.

YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS TRIP AT OUTDOOR ADVENTURES TO BE ABLE TO ATTEND. 

Join us as we explore Georgia’s southernmost barrier island, Cumberland Island. We will be hiking alongside water for many of the days and camping under the shade of the tangled branches of oak trees as we travel through this new environment. The island is only accessible by boat, so we begin our journey with a short ferry ride to one of the few boat docks on Cumberland. With limited campsites, we are able to enjoy the serenity of nature as we hike to various historic sites. Cumberland Island in March comes with warm temperatures, so get ready for some coastal backpacking, sunshine, and relaxation as we hike!

NAV1GATE is a special day for new students, designed to help you get to know the people, ideas, and opportunities that await you during your time here. We want you to get inspired about your college career and to get serious about the path ahead. You will hear from our chancellor, Franklin D. Gilliam, Jr., and connect with faculty, staff, student leaders, and your peers, who will show you the resources and support systems available to help you have a successful first year. You will participate in Spartan traditions to mark the beginning of your college career. And while the day is designed to prepare you for the academic experience ahead, you’ll also have fun with your new friends and our welcoming faculty and staff. Your future is unlimited when you know how to NAV1GATE your journey. NAV1GATE is required for all new first-year students. Meet the firms is a large networking event with many accounting firms to help accounting students in Beta Alpha Psi as well as the Masters in Accounting program in the Bryan School. It is to potentially set up interviews and connections between students and accounting professionals to help people gather information about firms that they may be interested in working at.
