Men’s Tennis to Take on No. 3 Samford in SoCon Tournament Quarterfinals
SoCon Men's Tennis Championship Pairings Announced
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team will be the No. 6 seed in The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Tournament, which will take place from Thursday to Saturday at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The Spartans, who finished the regular season at 9-13 overall and 2-5 in the SoCon, will begin the tournament by playing in a quarterfinal matchup on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. against No. 3 Samford.
The Bulldogs, who will be vying for their third tournament title and first since claiming the crown in 2013, went 16-5 overall and 6-1 in league action this season, downing UNCG, 6-1, on March 29.
The Bulldogs are 3-0 against the Spartans all-time in the tournament, with all three matchups coming in the quarterfinals.
Friday's semifinals are set for 10:00 a.m., with Saturday's title match scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
