GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball team extended its win streak to six games with a 2-1 walk-off win over non-conference foe Radford on Wednesday at the UNCG Softball Stadium.
 

• Radford put the first run up in the top of the first on a RBI double. Lee led off with a walk and then scored with one out on Smith's double to left center, 1-0.
• The Spartans saw their first base runner in the bottom of the second, but stranded two leaving the Highlanders on top, 1-0.
• After four more scoreless innings, UNCG acted with two outs.
• With one out, Salem Ward singled through the right side and after a second out, Samantha Beck crushed a two-run home run over the left field wall for the walk-off win, 2-1.
• This was Beck's third homer of the season and eighth of her career.
• Jorde Chartrand started in the circle for the Spartans and pitched 4.0 innings, giving up just two hits and one earned run.
• Reese Byrd came in relief and pitched 3.0 innings, giving up just one hit and no runs earning her sixth win of the season.

The Spartans are set to begin The Southern Conference (SoCon) schedule this weekend in Chattanooga, Tennessee, starting with a double header on Saturday with first pitch slated at 1:00 p.m. at Frost Stadium. UNCG and Chattanooga will play on Sunday as well with a first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
