Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's and women's cross country teams and Head Coach Kaleigh Roach have announced their 2024 schedule.
The Spartans concluded the 2023 season at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The women finished 30th out of 34 teams at the Championship totaling 834 points, while Luke Ward placed 127th overall in his second appearance at an NCAA Regional. UNCG had its best finish of the 2023 season at the Queen City Invite in Charlotte when the men finished in second place and the women finished in third.
"We are excited for the 2024 cross country season," said Coach Roach. "This year's schedule will challenge both groups competitively as we will battle a strong variety of teams at each meet. Both squads will race at the Panorama Farms Invitational hosted by Virginia in mid-October to set them up for the SoCon Championships in Greenville, South Carolina."

- The 2024 schedule will consist of five regular season meets with four in North Carolina and one in Virginia.
- The Spartans will begin the 2024 season with a short trip to Winston-Salem to take on Wake Forest on Aug. 30.
- The squad then compete on Sept. 20 with the Adidas XC Challenge, hosted by N.C. State.
- October will feature the most meets on the Spartans' schedule with three in total beginning with the Pirate Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 4 in Greenville and followed by the Mountaineer Feud on Oct. 18 in Boone.
- UNCG will conclude the regular season with its only out of state trip with the Panorama Farms Invitational on Oct. 19 hosted by Virginia in Charlottesville.
- The 2024 Southern Conference (SoCon) Cross Country Championships will be held in Greenville, South Carolina on Nov. 2.
- The NCAA DI Southeast Regional Championships will take place in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Nov. 15, while the NCAA DI Championships will be held in Madison, Wisconsin on Nov. 23.
