Women’s Golf Begins Season at Clemson’s Tiger Classic
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team opens its season at the Tiger Classic on Monday, Aug. 26, hosted by Clemson at John E. Walker Course in Clemson, South Carolina.
This will be sophomore Kasey McIlvaine's first time competing with the UNCG women's golf program since transferring from Marshall. She was a member of the Sun Belt All-Tournament Team last season.

THE FORMAT
The one-day, 16-team and 36-hole tournament gets underway with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and players will go continuously through two rounds.

SPARTAN STATS FROM LAST SEASON
- UNCG totaled four top-five finishes during 2023-24.
- The Spartans tied for sixth at The Southern Conference (SoCon) Tournament. Romfo led UNCG individually, tying for 10th overall. She led the Spartans throughout the year with a 75.19 stroke average in 27 rounds.
- Holcomb tied for 13th at The SoCon Championship. She was second on the Spartans with a 75.67 stroke average over 27 rounds.
- Baeumken was fourth on last year's squad with a stroke average of 76.71 in 24 rounds.
- Burnette had a stroke average of 76.78 a season ago in 27 rounds of play for fifth on the team.
- The Spartans experienced their best finish as a team at the Elon Women's Invitational, finishing second out of 15 teams last September.
