As a kid, Will Crandall had one dream: to heal people using plants and natural medicine. That’s why he chose UNC Greensboro’s chemistry program. Now a junior, Will is a member of the UNCG Medicinal Chemistry Collaborative, a National Health Institutes- supported group led by award-winning professor Dr. Nadja Cech. To become a lifeguard, Alex Best had to retrieve a brick from the bottom of a pool. Due to his small stature, some doubted him. But with hard work and discipline, he accomplished his goal. The brick now serves as inspiration for him to challenge himself further. After earning his bachelor’s degree at UNC Greensboro, Alex decided to pursue a master’s in athletic training.
