Do you get overwhelmed by your emotions? Do you wish you had more strategies to cope with challenging emotions?  Emotions can be confusing, frightening, or overwhelming when we don’t have the skills to navigate them. To survive, some of us have learned unhelpful methods to try and cope with our challenging emotions. This group teaches helpful skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to support you in effectively responding to your emotions.   Join us to learn and practice new skills to begin to build more emotional resilience!

 Join us for a workshop series on ecotherapy! Together we will explore opportunities to enhance our wellbeing and connections with nature. During this three part workshop series, we will learn what Ecotherapy is and practice some tools to do it on our own. We will explore indoor and outdoor approaches (such as walking to a campus outdoors Natural space).     We will offer a variety of nature based tools and techniques. No experience necessary! All are welcome as we look for ways to enhance our wellbeing and our connections as a community and as part of our natural ecosystem.

This prep session is *mandatory* for students planning to attend the Diversity Always Matters event on September 17th  held at Wake Forest University. The session will prepare you to maximize your experience at the event. If you do not attend this prep session, you will not be permitted to attend the Diversity Always Matters event. Diversity Always Matters hosted by Wake Forest University. An annual event that aims to connect employers seeking diverse talent with students who identify as diverse. All students are welcome, but the event creates a space for those from diverse races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and disabilities to learn more about companies that value diversity and network with these potential employers. This year, Bennett College, UNC Greensboro, Wake Forest University, and Winston-Salem State University have partnered to support the success of diverse talent. MULTICULTURAL GREEK COUNCIL X SALSA X OIE HERENCIA  Join us for FIESTA AT THE FOUNTAIN on September 16th to celebrate the kickoff of Hispanic Heritage Month and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) Week! We will have a live DJ, food truck, giveaways, student performances and a great time. Learn about HHM and the different independence days as well as all the events MGC's have the rest of the week. The MGC's will also be hosting a can for can drive to give back to the Spartan Open Pantry. Don't forget to bring a canned good and receive a drink! You won't want to miss out!
