SoCon Announces 2023-24 Postseason Awards

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis standouts Tymofiy Khrystyuk and Tejas Wall have earned a spot on The Southern Conference (SoCon) postseason awards list, the conference announced Wednesday.

Khrystyuk has been tabbed to the 2024 All-SoCon First Team after his performance this season. The Poltava, Ukraine native, concluded the regular season with an 9-10 overall singles record and 3-4 in conference. Khrystyuk has went 5-5 in doubles with Luke Thomson and 2-5 with Christopher Johns this season. Two of Khrystyuk's conference wins put UNCG on the board in the match, keeping the opposing team from clinching.

Wall was selected to the 2024 All-SoCon Freshman Team. Wall posted a 4-12 record in singles and 3-4 in conference action on the season. Two out of three conference matches that Wall won this season gave the Spartans the first point in singles action.

The last time the Spartans earned a spot on the postseason awards was in the 2022 season when Nico Grewe and Roger Rogowski were named to the All-SoCon First Team. The last time a Spartan was named to the SoCon All-Freshman team was in the 2019 season when Hugh Knapp achieved the recognition.
