Khrystyuk Guides Men's Tennis at ITA Carolina Regionals
CARY, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team competed the first two days at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), hosted by Duke at the Cary Tennis Courts on Thursday and Friday.
Junior Tymofiy Khrystyuk picked up a win in the first round of the main singles draw on Friday morning.
FIRST DAY (Thursday, Oct. 10)
John Gabelic (UNCG) fell in three sets during singles qualifying to Numa Lemieux-Monette (Gardner-Webb), 4-6, 7-6 (2), 4-6
SECOND DAY (Friday, Oct. 11)
Khrystyuk (UNCG) won in three sets during the main draw against Ian Pedersen (NCA&T), 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-0
Khrystyuk (UNCG) lost in two sets during the main draw against Connor Krug (Duke), 5-7, 4-6
Luke Thomson and Khrystyuk (UNCG) lost to Sam Landau and Theo Winegar (Duke), 6-8
