GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) Spartan Club announced its numbers for the 2023-24 fiscal year, today. The total amount raised in overall cash and gifts in-kind was $1,890,083, which was the third highest total in the history of UNCG Athletics. The Spartan Club had an all-time high donor total of 1,775, a 133% increase over fiscal year 2022-23, as well as achieving its IGNITE THE G! donor campaign to generate 1,000 unique donors.

"We are thankful to all of our supporters who make a positive impact on our student-athletes," stated Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations Mike Roach. "This level of fundraising results would not be possible without the continued generosity and investment by our donors, athletics staff, and coaches."
 
Spiro's Ball and the annual Spartan Club Golf Classic combined to raise a net total of over $90,000. All proceeds from Spiro's Ball and the Golf Classic directly benefit UNCG student-athletes' scholarships.
 
In addition, since the launch of UNCG Athletics' Scholarship and Operations Initiative in September 2022, the Spartan Club has received $2,600,000 in commitments, which is 52% the overall $5 million goal. The Scholarship and Operations Initiative provide scholarship and operations dollars for our 17 varsity sports.
