Hernandez Cards Even-Par in Day One of Puerto Rico Open

RIO GRANDE, PUERTO RICO – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf sophomore Kelvin Hernandez stands in a tie for 112th place after day one of the 2025 Puerto Rico Open on Thursday at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

Round one was stopped due to individuals running out of daylight to complete the round.

Hernandez stands in a tie for 112th place at the event and currently has an overall even-par score. The Caguas, Puerto Rico, native carded two birdies on the first day and shot 13 total even pars.

Hernandez is through 16 holes in the first round. The sophomore finished the front nine with a one-over-par (37).

Kevin Roy, representing the United States stands in sole first place after finishing round one with a 10-under-par (62).
