- Gardner-Webb competed in a total of five fall tournaments in 2024 to prepare for the 2025 spring slate.

- The Runnin' Bulldogs and Spartans last met for dual competition in the 2019-20 season in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, when Gardner-Webb notched a 4-3 battle over UNCG.
