Softball Releases 2025 Schedule
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) softball Head Coach Janelle Breneman announced the team's 2025 schedule on Tuesday.
The Spartans concluded the 2024 season 33-26 overall and 13-8 in The Southern Conference (SoCon). It was the fifth-straight season with 30 or more wins, excluding the 2020 shortened season. It was also the ninth year with 30 or more wins under the direction of Breneman, who is in her 12th year with the Blue & Gold.
"As we kick off the 2025 softball season, we're ready to face tough opponents who will push us to be our best every game," said Breneman. "This team is filled with incredible talent and heart and I am confident in what TEAM 40 can achieve together this year. Our fall season showed us that we are versatile and I feel like this will allow us to have a strong lineup. Let's embrace this new opportunity in 2025 to grow, compete and make this a Spartan season to remember!"
The Spartans led the SoCon last season in home runs per game (1.37), home runs (81), slugging percentage (0.490), triples per game (0.22) and walks (240). UNCG was also nationally ranked in the top 30 in four categories: sixth in walks, 11th in home runs, 14th in home runs per game and 30th in slugging percentage.
